About the set
Chitty on Contracts is the practitioner's standard reference on the law of contract, first published in 1826 and now in its 35th edition. Published by Sweet & Maxwell in two volumes — General Principles and Specific Contracts — it's the work most often cited in contract disputes before the English courts, and is kept current between editions by regular supplements.

29th through 34th editions are still genuinely useful and worth having valued, complete or as single volumes.
Earlier editions considered case by case — condition and completeness matter more the older the set.
